“Like” Our Page and Our Participants Get Cell Phones With Airtime!

Inspired by our recent promotion to get Facebook “likes”, Corporate Purchasing Solutions, a 911 Cell Phone Bank corporate partner, volunteered to donate 1 minute of cell phone airtime for every person who “likes” our Facebook page. This will enable us to expand our program offering to include phones with airtime.

This new program, currently in development, will provide cell phones with regular monthly airtime. If you would like more information on how you can get involved please call your 911 Cell Phone Bank representative at 866-290-7864.

We have set a goal to get 1000 people to “Like” our Facebook page by the end of the year. Since we have been at about 125 “likes” for the last 3 months it seems our initial strategy of simply hoping people will somehow meander onto our page has fallen a little short. So we have decided to try something else…here’s what we’ve come up with.

We are going to award the participating agency with the most popular comment on our Facebook page a $100 gift card.

Here’s how to participate:

First, visit www.facebook.com/911CellPhoneBank and “like” our page.
Then post a comment about your participation in the 911 Cell Phone Bank program and be sure to mention the name of your agency. Something like…“The XYZ Agency has been a participant since 2005 and we love the program because…”.
Next, invite your Facebook friends to “like’ our page, AND “like” or comment on your comment. The Agency with the most combined “likes” and comments will get the $100 Gift Card.

I would like to begin by thanking each and every participating agency that is a partner of the 911 Cell Phone Bank. Congratulations, to all of you. We appreciate all of your hard work throughout the entire year of 2009. With our sincere gratitude extended to each and every one of you, let it be known, without your efforts we could not have serviced all of our requests for the emergency phones that come in daily. Nor could we have shipped out the enormous number (literally thousands) of emergency phones that go out to your clients on a monthly basis. Again we thank you and the recipients thank you as well.

Our entire team at the 911 Cell Phone Bank want to especially recognize our 2009 Fourth Quarter Challenge Winners that did an outstanding job with their end of the year wrap up, which resulted in extra perks. They did a super job!!!

4th Quarter Challenge Update

Clients are definitely responding to the challenge which was placed to them in regard to the 4^th quarter challenge. At the time of this writing, at least half of the $25.00 bonus prizes are accounted for. If your organization is still seriously pursuing this goal, time is growing short for these bonuses. However, that does not mean that the overall quantity objectives are out of reach for anybody. Remember, all phones are accepted for your count, with the exception of obviously broken (2 pieces) or bag phones. And don’t let the lack of a back or battery stop you – those are still acceptable phones. I had a conversation with a client this morning who was worried about sending in phones with no backs. No problem – and if you happen to have a home charger to go along with it, send that along as well. We send out our 911 phones with batteries and chargers, so every battery or charger we don’t have to purchase helps to make the program that much more efficient.
