The International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) has joined with 911 Cell Phone Bank and The Harbor House of Central Florida to collect used cell phones throughout the Country. The IAAO is the internationally recognized leader and preeminent source for innovation, education, and research in property appraisal, assessment administration, and property tax policy. As part of the 76th IAAO International Conference, this year’s local charity project is “A CALL FOR HELP”. This project is a used cell phone collection drive to benefit the women and children who are victims of domestic violence and seeking safe shelter at Harbor House of Central Florida. For over 30 years, Harbor House has sought to eliminate domestic violence by providing safety, shelter, empowerment, education and justice. The campaign will culminate with the IAAO 76th International Conference August 29 – September 1, 2010 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
