As you all know the success and value of our program is dependent on the efforts of our participating agencies and corporate partners. As a result of their increased efforts we have been able to make a significant improvement to our program. Since October most, if not all, of the phones we have provided have been GPS enabled but there has been no formal announcement. So we decided to announce that beginning January 2010 each cell phone provided under our program will be GPS enabled.

That means each cell phone we provide as an emergency cell phone will have the ability to provide location information to emergency services in your area. It is important to understand that not all emergency services communications centers are E911 compliant and we encourage you to contact the agency who operates your 911 call center to verify compatibility.
