The Goodwill Industries of Tacoma, Washington has been in partnership with the 911 Cell Phone Bank since June 2004. They have collected close to 21,000 phones which have been donated to the foundation and used for agencies in the state of Washington. Eric Hulscher, the Operation’s Manager has been working very hard to make sure that these phones are distributed back into his community. Together we have been able to make that happen, due to his diligence and non-stop efforts.

Recently Eric was in contact with the Lakewood Police Department and told them what he has been doing for the community. He found that this is exactly what they were in need of; a program that provided seniors and victims with emergency phones. Within minutes of ending my conversation with Eric, Karen Herritt, the Neighborhood Patrol Officer (whom expressed a great concern for her community) called me and discussed  the needs and her desires for Lakewood.
