Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Highlights the Success of Their Annual Cell Phone Drive
-
The 911 Cell Phone Bank would like to thank Deputy, Kelli Brookshire and the entire staff for their efforts with a special thanks to PIO, Mark Myers for preparing the following press release:First and foremost we want to thank everyone for donating their cell phones. Our goal was to receive 2500 cell phones which would be cleaned out, and given free of charge to the elderly and victims of domestic abuse to call 911 during emergencies.
We received a total of 2261 cell phones, just 239 short of our goal of 2500. All of the phones will be sent to the 911 Cell Phone Bank in Florida. Phones that can be cleaned out will be returned to Oklahoma, and phones that don’t work will be scrapped for parts.
